Uganda’s education system is currently facing a critical crisis. A staggering 39% of children drop out of primary school due to poverty, inadequate infrastructure, and unqualified teachers. Imagine a classroom with over 100 students, just one textbook, and no desks—this is the harsh reality in many public schools nationwide. In 2022, the Ministry of Education reported a shortage of over 20,000 teachers. As a result, our students consistently rank among the lowest in East Africa in subjects like math and science.
Despite these alarming statistics, education is the key to unlocking Uganda’s potential. By educating our children, we empower the entire nation. That’s why the Kyazinam Foundation is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in their pursuit of education. We firmly believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background.
While the situation is concerning, we refuse to lose hope! Girls’ education is particularly at risk, with 1 in 4 girls not completing primary school due to challenges such as child marriage, early pregnancy, and lack of sanitary facilities. It’s heartbreaking to see future leaders and change-makers hindered by systemic failures. This is why we need your support!
Join forces with the Kyazinam Foundation to help change this narrative! Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, every effort counts. Let’s provide more children with the opportunity to succeed. Support the Kyazinam Foundation today so we can:
– Provide scholarships to needy students
– Build classrooms and libraries
– Train teachers and mentors
– Empower girls through education
